Our Nursery Staff

We have a loyal and dedicated team, most of whom have been working with us for 12 years on average. This helps the children to get to know and build relationships with all members of staff in the nursery and settle quickly as they progress through the different rooms.

Donna Patterson – Director of HR & Organisational Development.

I joined Nescot in 2008, and have had line management of the Nursery Manager since April 2014 and then the Nursery Business Manager since January 2017. It is immensely satisfying to be with such dedicated and professional staff who work very hard to give all the children in their care an excellent experience.  I cannot recommend enough the Nestots team who provide a warm and welcoming environment to all the childre

Gemma Spicer – Head of Nursery

I see myself as a caring, reliable and positive person with over 16 years of experience working with children from ages 3 months to 5 years old.

I have formed good parent partnerships during my time here and it has been lovely to see so many families returning to us throughout the years I have been here.

I have been at Nestots since 2010 and feel I have gained a wealth of knowledge and confidence since starting here.

All 3 of my children have attended Nestots and they have all loved their time whilst here.

I joined Nestots in 2016. I hold my level 3 diploma in child care and have a passion for children’s learning and development. I have worked across all age groups from 3 months to 5 years. I’m also a mum myself to two beautiful girls one of whom attends Nestots. I had my first daughter at 14 years old which allows me to sympathise with many of our student parents. I’m friendly and approachable; always happy to share advice or a helping hand. I’m enjoy my journey at Nestots and love the home from home environment we offer with an amazing team. There is nothing more rewarding then watching and supporting a child achieve their highest potential. I aim to create a fun loving environment allowing for children to follow their own likes and interests.

Laura Lindsay – Early Years Supervisor.

I have been working at Nestots for 14 years. I have always been in Blue Room with the 18-month to two-year-olds, so I am very familiar with that age group. I started my training at Nescot college in 1998 and qualified in the year 2000 with the NNEB Level 3. Once I qualified I worked at a nursery for two years with 2 to 3-year-olds. Then I moved on to a crèche where I worked in the mornings and I also did kids camps in the holidays. In the afternoon I worked in an after-school club. I did this until 2003 when I started to work at Nestots. I have always loved working with children and knew that it would be the career that I would choose. I am married with two boys of my own, so
